I found these patterns online doing a basic search for dog sweaters. I chose these ones for a doggy sweater for a co-worker's puppy “Gizmo”. Gizmo is always cold and shivering even when indoors. He could definitely use a new knitted puppy sweater in his collection!
This seemed like a fun project and seemed simple enough. It took me 4 times to get it right!

Simple Dog Sweater Pattern:
This is the pattern by MoonArts I tried four times for Gizmo! I could not get the size right, the arm holes in the right spot, or big enough for his paws & head to fit through. I finally got it!
I think it looks like a camouflage cardigan vest type sweater since I didn't have enough leftover yarn to make armholes and I also didn't sew up all of the front side so that I could be sure Gizmo fit into it this time.

Here are the alterations I had to make for this sweater:
1. Follow pattern exactly & count. I have taken notes on how many stitches total for each row.
2. Cuff length & pattern
3. Inch of breast plate for button & to fit for arm holes

See it's camouflage! Gizmo will be almost invisible when he wears this sweater!
On the fourth try I had to straight up copy a sweater that Gizmo already owns so that I could get it right!
