More Socks

Mountain Socks
This pattern is on my blog for my first sock. I made a simple ribbing pattern using two or three different colors of yarn. I made a different color heels and different color toe simply by changing colors.

Candy Stripe Socks
This pattern came out of the book The Joy of Socks by Linda Copp.  The designer, Gina House, calls them "Rock-A-Bye" socks (page 39).

I used multi-colored fine yarn called Hibiscus in the Deborah Norville Collection Serenity Garden Yarn by Premiere Yarns (instead of her choice of blue/purple variegated sock yarn) and the sock came out nicely striped like a piece of candy!  You can see the yarn I used by clicking here

I also made flash cards for the modified diagonal ribbing pattern and had to make up my own heel pattern since I messed up somewhere along the way.
I don't think I'll be able to make another sock exactly like this one! I didn't write it down what I did, and don't think I could make it up again.
Now, I have a whole ball of yarn leftover to use for something else...maybe someday I'll try?!
