About This Blog

A little bit about me and this blog:

I started this blog for my grandma.  She taught me how to knit when I was little.    At twenty five years old I am writing this blog as both a tribute to her and for everyone who loves knitting.  This blog is for collaborating ideas and a virtual place to display our wonders of knitting.
I used to knit all the time when I was young.  Until recently moving to the mountains I had no desire to knit. I had almost forgotten how to until I just tried it.  I picked up my old sticks, some yarn and started to re-teach myself.  I started at the very beginning using an old book my grandma gave me.  Once I got going, I saw the magic from my fingers and yarn which drove me to learn more.  Now I wish I could knit all day long!
Lately I have seen young teenagers knitting cool things with skull patterns and I’ve been hearing about ladies creating knitting circles with their friends.  It all sounded like so much fun!
Knitting has tested my patience, my aggravation, and definitely tested my brain on following instructions for a specific pattern. All of these things have helped me in other aspects of life. Knitting has been like a quiet meditation after a hectic day.  Plus, who doesn’t love warm snuggly knitted pair of socks as a gift?
So all of the above is why I decided to create this blog.  I wanted to write everything down and share my adventures in knitting.  That means all of my mistakes, suggestions, and space for outside feedback and input of other experiences like yours.  This blog is purely for those who like to knit, or want to learn to knit, and by following you now part of my online knitting circle J
