Honey Bee Fingerless Gloves

Super cute! Took me 4 hours per glove!
Now everyone wants a pair!

I created the pattern myself!
It will soon be posted in Ravelry.com for FREE!

I used a creamy soft yellow yarn and a dark grey yarn because I thought that black would be too dark and not as cuddly to wear.

Perhaps I'll make some white & black ones next!

Honey Bee Fingerless Gloves Pattern
by Anna Frazer

You will need: pair of size US 2.5/3mm circular needles and double pointed needles (for thumb, or for entire glove if you choose). One stitch holder. Two colors of yarn: honey comb yellow wool yarn and heather grey wool yarn. Three stitch markers.
Cast on: 36 stitches in YELLOW
Join in the round if using circular needles. If using double pointed needles, split 12 stitches onto 3 needles and join in the round.
Mark beginning of round by placing marker
Start Cuff - Working with RS
Row 1: Purl
Row 2: Knit
Row 3: Purl
Row 4: Knit
Switch to GREY yarn - I used basic weave-in method and wove-out the yellow to cut off later.
Knit 7 rounds (stockinette stitch)

Switch to YELLOW, knit one row and place markers in between stitches #17&18 and between stitches 19&20 (2 stitches in between markers)
Start Increase as follows for thumb gusset:
1st Round: From start of round, knit to marker, slip marker, kfb, knit to last stitch before marker, kfb, slip marker, knit to end of row.
2nd-4th Rounds: Knit    **(in other words: knit 3 rounds after 1st round)
Repeat Rounds 1-4 ONCE

Switch to GREY    **(you should have 40 stitches on the needle and 6 of them between the thumb gusset markers)
Just as before continue in the following manner
1st Round: From start of round, knit to marker, slip marker, kfb, knit to last stitch before marker, kfb, slip marker, knit to end of row.
2nd-4th Rounds: Knit    **(in other words: knit 3 rounds after 1st round)
Repeat Rounds 1-4 ONCE

Switch to YELLOW   **(you should have 44 stitches on the needle and 10 of them between the thumb gusset markers)
1st Round: From start of round, knit to marker, slip marker, kfb, knit to last stitch before marker, kfb, slip marker, knit to end of row.
2nd Round: Knit to Marker, slip next 12 stitches off needle onto a stitch holder. This will be the start of the thumb.
Cast on or add 2 stitches to next needle (or main needle). Use whatever method you choose.
You should now have 36 stitches on the main needle for the hands.
Continue with YELLOW for the forehand 6 more rounds. Making it a total of 8 yellow rounds. You should now be on the 35th row or round on the glove.

Switch to GREY
Knit 7 rounds

Switch to YELLOW
Round 1: Knit
Round 2: Purl
Round 3: Knit
Round 4: Purl
Bind-off in knit

Thumb:
With 2 double point needles divide 6 stitches on to 2 double pointed needles.
Adding YELLOW to the yellow in thumb gusset: add 6 more stitches on a 3rd double pointed knitting needle. Should now have 18 stitches total to work with for the thumb.
Knit 5 rounds
Purl 1 round, knit 1 round, purl 1 round
Bind-off in knit.

Weave-in or knot tie-off loose yarn ends and cut off any left-over tails throughout the glove.

And you're finished!
